Born and raised in Canada, Nelson Simoneau has been fascinated by art and beauty since childhood. This passion led him to study photography and fashion design. With a degree in hand, he settled in Paris in 2002 and made a name for himself in the international scene.
Gifted with great sensitivity, his sharp eye knows how to capture emotions in the eyes of the subjects he photographs, and he immortalizes their beauty by making sophisticated use of light. Intuition and requirement, contrast and precision, elegance and provocation reflect a talent that several prestigious fashion magazines will quickly notice.
He has been published in ELLE (France, USA, Japan, Canada, UK, and Spain), Marie-Claire (France, UK, Spain, Japan, and Australia), Madame Figaro (France and Japan), the New York Times, L’Officiel, S Moda, Air France Madame, GQ (UK), Glamour and many more. He created advertising campaigns for major European, Japanese, Canadian and American brands, such as Clairol and Vidal Sassoon. Since 2001, he has won many prizes including the Grand Prix Photo and Mode-beauté twice.
Nelson is an internationally acclaimed photographer based in Paris and working throughout Europe and North America.
